I have both, not sure which is better.

No college though, my guidance counselor in high school was very firm about me not going to college because she knew I likely wouldn't have applied myself and wasted 10s of 1000s in loans and whatnot.

I'm very thankful she was that upfront with me. Few faculty in HS was straight up honest with stuff like that. Old black lady who had that big auntie type attitude.

She said some along the lines of "honey, there are trade schools you can finish in 1 year and have paid off in less than a year after and they're always in demand." She was fucking right. I remember emailing her after I graduated from trade school and landed a job straight away and thanked her. She made a joke about how I owe her a service call in the future. She helped quite a few spics in my graduating class avoid a life of student loans for a degree that the vast majority of us probably wouldn't have even found work in the field of. Super thankful for her and she wasn't even a teacher.
