Well that's good to know that GA is now a lot safer than riding a motorcycle, in case I ever get back in a small plane.

Not irrational anymore. The US is now the number one place in the world for shark attacks. It's in the news pretty much every week this summer. I've seen several recent videos of sharks skulking around right amongst all the swimmers near shore. Fuck them and jellyfish.
