I don't really think anything is embarrassing if you're doing it for yourself. Like I don't get furries at all and I will laugh at them but I don't consider it embarrassing. What's embarrassing are the ones that pick up an identity because everyone else has it or because they're "supposed to", like Apple fanatics and others who supports brands no matter what, you know they don't give a shit about it deep down and when everyone around start changing their identities into some new thing, so will they. That and people who make politics their identity.

Furries are more common today than ever, they just diversified and don't pollute the internet at large anymore. Tons of them on X, 4chan, art sites, etc. Before the mid-2000s it was all gay dudes fucking each other in mascot suits but now it's degenerates of all stripes (including women) doing lots of different things.
I grew up around Brian setzer, the guy from the cars and a few others who didn’t get famous. Whenever they’d show up anywhere, church, school, little league etc they would be done up like they spent 2 hours getting dressed and doing their hair. You could smell the hair spray from outside the building.

If you compete as a bodybuilder or model and make money off your body, i get it.
But it’s almost always fat fucks that got “in shape” in their late 20s and can’t shut up about their new PPL split, amino acids, protein powder, meal prep, etc.
And don’t get me started on women that wear the baseball hat pulled down over their eyes, headphones on, doing glute bridges on a flat bench. Betsy badass.
