Genuine question - Do you think he’s talented enough to get looked at for college ball?
Not now no, but considering my father and 2 1st cousins played division 1 football, my brother had an offer to several 1AA programs contingent on going to jucos for grades (he was a fuckoff in school) and I was a D3 player (and yes that's still something) I think giving how successful he was with no history this year he could develop. They're high on him in a top 100 program here. He gets off super quick, stays low is way stronger than he looks, has quick feet, runs faster than every other lineman and is in the backfield every down. They play that niggerish Miami I slide 4-3 shit which is pointless in HS. They should play an Oklahoma and use athletic ends like LBs and have a versatile 50/3 man front based on reads. They often go cover zero full man and get beat behind them too despite getting good pressure because they do a lot of hoping around instead of man to cut off the hooks in the middle and without the safeties playing deep they let receivers get behind them. My kid is fast to QB he helps prevent that, by making them throw fast. I'd like to see him play in a flex 50 where his role was more of an edge rusher. Then in 2 years yes I could see him at 265 6-4 being a legitimate college prospect at least for a MAC school type place. He was pretty good this year for never having played a down. He has 9th grade eligibility and played a bunch of varsity downs on a team that lost a district final by a point in OT. That's not too bad. He'll likely be a 3 year starter not with 6-7 years of youth football, but 2 weeks of HS practice before his first ever game as his only background. I know he's my kid, but that's still a pretty good accomplishment. He's academically a sophomore, we'll need to decide if we let him stay an extra year, you know what I want, lol.
