The Obama thing isn't technically breaking the law though, which is kinda the crux of the issue. Scummy politicians make the bulk of their income through shady means like foundations, advisory appointments and 'speeches', precisely because they're technically legal ways to launder money. Campaign finances are bound by strict legislation in contrast, so even the smallest infraction can get you pounded up the ass. It's like the difference between tax evasion and tax avoidance.

The trial was politically motivated and laughably hypocritical and petty, but Trump is also a dumb nigger for breaking the law and opening himself up to it. The two statements can be true at the same time. Both are a disgrace to the way the democratic process should work.
