The reality is Opie was never malicious or evil he was just douchey. If he apologizes to Colin for example saying "hey man, sorry about what I said I don't know what I was thinking" I guarantee everything would be cool and he'd do his podcast in a second.
That alone would cause antH's brain to melt, he was bitching a couple weeks ago as to why Colin won't do his show.

The only reason he got his acting gig on Breaking Bad was because he was on O&A. The Breaking Bad producers were huge O&A fans and constantly put references to it on the show (LOST did the same thing as well).

Anthony makes it seem like he had all these great friendships with people like Patrice or Vos when the extent of their relationship was Patrice going to one of his parties once or twice. Meanwhile Opie and Jim would hit the gym, Opie and Bawby would go fly fishing, Opie and Vos’ wife were friends, etc. Opie has always been the one with the real friendships on the show because he’s not an emotionally stunted alcoholic. He’s just at the most an emotionally stunted woman.

My personal opinion is that after the 2005 fight between the two, Anthony basically took Jimmy under his wing and manipulated him into thinking Opie was useless. Anthonys problems with Opie were mainly personal and he used the fact that he was an unfunny person to reign everyone against Opie. Even at the worst of Opie and Jim their problems just came down to a lack of chemistry and the weird shit going on with Ant at the time. Jimmy claims Anthony did something so despicable he’ll never forgive him, he knows he’s an alcoholic, a woman beater, and a racist. Didn't Patrice say at one point that Anthony never hangs out? I vaguely remember that... I think at the same time Opie and Patrice were planning to see a movie in the theater or attend some sports game and had more of a history of hanging out in general since Ant is a recluse.
