As a general rule, O&A preferred completely uneducated employees, since Nana and Opie are not all that bright. The one exception they made was when they hired a plucky young college graduate named sam who knew to act stupid until it was time to make his move. He wasn't even an evil genius, just a regular guy who got a communications degree, its just that everyone else was so stupid that he easily manipulated and eliminated them one by one until he toppled the leader.
