You fucking nit.

She watched it a few times with her girlfriends, but she gave up by the Red Wedding, I think she said. She told her friends, and she emphasized that I quoted her here, "This is as overrated as True Blood."

I dunno lads, Fantasy has been the one genre that never really interested me. The Magic Sword, Sinbad, Jason and The Argonauts... I never watch them again. Passes through me like fiber.
So what you're saying is that the fantasy genre has gone from Sinbad to Sinworse?

I’ve never read any of his books but he’s a big fat cunt who takes himself way too seriously.

I heard this fat retard criticising Tolkien. Can you believe that? He looks like he harms kids.

“Ruling is hard. This was maybe my answer to Tolkien, whom, as much as I admire him, I do quibble with. Lord of the Rings had a very medieval philosophy: that if the king was a good man, the land would prosper. We look at real history and it’s not that simple. Tolkien can say that Aragorn became king and reigned for a hundred years, and he was wise and good. But Tolkien doesn’t ask the question: What was Aragorn’s tax policy? Did he maintain a standing army? What did he do in times of flood and famine? And what about all these orcs? By the end of the war, Sauron is gone but all of the orcs aren’t gone – they’re in the mountains. Did Aragorn pursue a policy of systematic genocide and kill them? Even the little baby orcs, in their little orc cradles?” – (GRRM on Tolkein)

Medieval philosophy? Almost like the author was a Medievalist or sumptin, tsss.

Nice completely disregarding the entire genre and intent behind LOTR, stupid. Fat atheist losers need to stay out of fantasy and stick to sci-fi.

Because that's what someone wants from a fantasy book, they want to know what fucking tax brackets there are in Minas Tirith. He's basically saying he doesn't like fantasy because it's not real enough for him. This is the exact same attitude as, "Star Wars doesn't have a female audience so let's make it different to appeal to them, the Force is Female," and then they shit out this tepid garbage that just happens to have lightsaber. If you don't like fantasy go read something else, ya fat greasy queer.
Sorry, I'm cranky this morning

The first three books are stone cold classics. If he had a stroke after the third one everyone would say it was one of the greatest unfinished stories of all time.

There are character arcs - particularly Jaime’s - that still make my hair stand up.

This fat faggot clearly only cared about the story and planned it out to that point. Then he decided to get lost in his own world building and now it will be impossible to finish.
Couldn't have said it better myself. Although I believe that he did plan it out til the ending and what really fucked him was not doing the timeskip that he had planned so now he is stuck writing what he was originally going to skip, and not liking it, and that's why he seems like he'd rather be writing backstories to every single character instead of just writing the main story.

The 4th book was so goddamn boring I fell asleep multiple times trying to read a single chapter. The 5th wasn't much better.

Same here. Magnum PI was a good show.

Did you see the sunrise?
I grew up with a lot of those 80s shows going in the back ground when I was really young, I know of Magnum but I only know my shit about Knight Rider.
EDIT: Call me Nana all you want, I'd rather watch the first 5 seasons of Columbo than anything on Disney+ besides the first decades of the Simpsons.

Knight Rider watch pretty good. So do Miami Vice and A-Team.

You don't relate to Tyrion Lannister? Short, substance abuse issues, hated by his parents and siblings. He's practically you!
Wrong again as always, child. These are simply your delusions. If I meet you abject coward in person, the only resemblance you will have to somebody I know will be to Bernell Trammell.

Harryhausen Sinbad is probably one of my few exceptions. Reminds me of the old Ali Baba film Universal. Though I wish they had gone with my dream casting in the 80's.

Which was, you guessed it - FRANK STALLONE!

I wouldn't call you Nana for that, you're a modern lad.

Columbo transcends regions, it's aired worldwide because it's good quality. I still will even watch it at times, I imported the Japanese Blu Ray box set long ago.

Difference is, Nana is stuck in the past and afraid of the future, hence being an alcoholic, braindead, prancing Rich Little wannabe.
