I literally have some basic sit-in one I got for free that I just rigged up with fishing shit, so there's no standing up in it. I do great in it though. I catch some pretty decent fish but I get blown around by the wind. My buddy had a really nice 14 foot legit fishing kayak I used a couple times and stood up and everything. They're almost more like a John boat than a kayak. They're stable as fuck (like you'd have to really try to tip it) but they're also heavy and unless you have a truck with a full bed, which doesn't seem to be a thing anymore, you basically need a trailer for them. That was why my buddy got rid of his. Because he always had to have me drive it around for him. I thought about buying it off him but I kind of like my little piece of shit boat. I do better than all my friends. If I got one I could stand in I'd definitely learn how to fly fish though. That would be fucking sick.

Thanks that all makes sense. Do you just hold in your piss? I like to drink when fishing. That sounds like a problem.

I've even considered a specialized fishing PWC for going wayyy out there quickly and safely. I want to fish bigger water ideally.

I know that financially a 14-16' used boat is the correct answer but realistically I don't think I'd be up for the POA of solo launching while guys invariably wait behind me at the dock, etc. I wish there were affordable slips around here.

Maybe a good pair of waders and some nice warm gear is the best option.

I fish the same places a lot so I know where I can pull up and take a piss or a dump. Also, if you REALLY have to piss, every kayak has a bail cup in it.

Also, have you seen those fishing seadoos? They have a deck on the back you can stand on and you can get them with live-wells and all kinds of shit. They're badass.

Yes my friend in Virginia was one of the first people I know to go way offshore on jet ski's. He even made it on ESPN back in the day. He called himself Jet Ski Brian. He would routinely go miles offshore and catch all kinds of wild shit. Nowadays in Florida this is a very common thing and as you said, Seadoo now makes a specific ski just for offshore fishing.

Jet ski's will never have the reliability and longevity of a boat though. Sounds just about perfect for a solo nigger though. Don't have to come up with a reason why your buddies can't tag along. Insanely good fuel mileage, speed, safety, etc. Fuck now I want one.
