That's the thing, though - they would tell Pat.
Pat would tweet about it, he would plaster his name and face all over the internet like he did with Dan, Andrew, and Adam Mucci.

Since that hasn't happened, no one has been punished for anything.
He's had a vurrrry surprising level of self control not posting about their lawsuit. People sat him down and finally scared him into shutting the fuck up. Has he EVER acknowledged their lawsuit against the city and MPD on his social media accounts?

Yes he has. Typical non answers like "that's why we're sueing them" or something

“Why would the state settle?? Evil incompetent libtards!!! You need to punish Pat!!”

Would you take this gamble, not knowing as much as we do about Pat?:

You can pay lawyers for a year. You pay the fat litigant $200,000 to fuck off and save your officers reputations

Or

You can pay lawyers for multiple years. The case goes to trial and the judge rules against you. You owe the fat litigant a million dollars and your officers look like shit because it may come out that they were privately mocking the guy they were SWATting and didn’t care for his concerns.
Oh good.

Don't worry everyone, Pat is 100% going to lose, using the golden rule of life:

"Outcome is always opposite to what Sue predicts".

Holy shit. Didn't they throw the swatter in prison already? The only reason the investigation would still be open is that they're looking into Pat.

Wrong, child. They're looking at you for your many felony crimes of while you are guilty of committing felonies. You will enjoy many many years in prison for your felony crimes after your sentencing for your felony crimes. Enjoy prison.

Back to the actual case for a minute here. Before anybody loses faith. Unlike other cases the city settles this one has literal hours of Pat and Niki on tape blabbering their inner feelings in media tours offering contradictory feelings and assessments that can be exploited pretty easy upon examination. Add to that a decades long tweet trail of his troublesome personality and tall tales persona and this might not be a case they settle. Most cases where people sue they have very little to dig up on the plaintiff in his case he is a goldmine. I find it unlikely that they fear him at trial. I still think they can make it look like he may have authored these calls himself. Do they want to pay out a guy who might have done that? Or even one who looks like he could have? They have a good reason to risk a trial.

Not sure I agree, Abe.
