I'm 50/50 on Rick self-swatting. He thought he was such hot shit prior to Norm/11, his whole personality was being an absolute smug cunt to all his lessers (everyone he interacted with, really).
Getting clowned on daily obviously gave him a huge narcissistic injury. He had to reinterpret reality and pretend he's fighting a literal murderous cult, not just some bored dudes who think he's a faggot. Then raise the stakes further by adding swatting to objectively be seen as victim and not just a dumb bully who's being made to taste his own medicine.
I would still be kind of shocked if it really turned out Rick was doing it himself, just because it's such a deranged thing to do, but if you know Rick, you can definitely see how such a plan would come about in his fat head.

That's still making a big assumption the person who identified themselves as torswats actually was. That's where I have trouble with it.
The person who identified themselves as Torswats had definitely made or had access to some of the Pat calls.
It wasn't just some random. That is as much as can be solidly confirmed.

Something important to remember is the vast, vast majority of these were not even close to swattings. Almost all of them were wellness checks of some sort. One or two cops would come by and just leave a note or knock. There was no risk to either of them.
I think it’s pretty likely the very first SWAT was legitimate. It happened during a period of time when many notable lolcows like Rekieta, Ralph, etc were being swatted. This was the primary logic behind a Kiwi being behind it - because no one here gives a fuck about any of the other cows.
I think Rick and Jackie worked together after that. My theory has always been that Jackie, who was involved in the media campaign against Kiwifarms, saw how much engagement Rick was getting from his being SWATed and reached out to him. They had interacted briefly before. I think they likely paid for a few “SWATs” aka wellness checks including the one designed for them to get the footage where they threatened to sue the cops.
If you take Torswats at his word, they stiffed him so he kept “swatting” Rick for free. Though we’re having to take the word of a literal demonic criminal, we know Jackie is broke and Rick stiffed his lawyers so I don’t think it’s really that crazy of a leap.
Also he didn’t need to add that detail at all. He could’ve just said that Pat paid for all of them. But I think that detail makes the entire story more plausible simply because I don’t think Patrick was faking his anger in some of the videos we saw/heard, I don’t think he’s that good of an actor. Also, that would explain the huge number of calls because even though most of them are wellness checks, there were calls made. Patrick stiffing him and the creep getting revenge with dozens of calls actually makes way more sense than anything else.
I believe he paid for them too. The only thing that didn't make much sense to me was Rick telling Torswats his plan to sue the MPD, or even identifying himself. I assume he fatly thought this would seem so ridiculously stupid (and for anyone else, it would have) that it couldn't have been him, and he could pin it on a felonious impersonator. Then you hear his voicemails to himself and yeah, that's probably exactly what he thought. Just a 45yo man behaving like an 8yo who thinks his lies are fooling his parents. That's his entire life.
Let’s not forgot Jackie once posted that Pat had been swatted before he posted he had been swatted on social media.

I don't believe Rick ever directly talked to Torswats. This is all obviously conjecture, but I believe Jackie was operating the "Patrick" account that Torswats was interacting with. I doubt she was upfront with Torswats originally. He probably googled the address at some point and was like "hey, why are you SWATing the house where you live?" and Jackie just mindlessly answered.
It’s because he believes he’s the smartest person ever and he can fool people. He thinks he’s so smart he’ll never get caught.
Plus they really took off once she got involved. It was pretty much a weekly basis once she came into the story and we’ve seen how she used him to book that speaking gig about “cybersecurity”

Patrick is the biggest appeal to authority faggot ever. He saw that Jackie worked for the Biden administration for four months and that was enough for him to trust her with his life. She got to feel important - which is all she cares about, and he got the media coverage he had been craving for years. It was a mutually beneficial arrangement that ended with them both still being obese and unemployed. The classic lose-lose scenario.
And even would get upset if someone would question his wellness checks which were a majority of the “swats” like those are just as dangerous and life threatening as having “Guns and ballistic shields pointed at me and my wife!”
