I think there’s some of that happening but the recent outbreak of this bullshit coverage really makes me think Lynne (unless there’s someone else with money in this picture? SFWA couldn’t still be paying, could they?) hired a PR flack to work the phones a few months ago to get all of this cooking. It could even be how the Blocked and Reported segment came about. Jesse Singal of BAR is friends with Taylor Lorenz, too…

As to why, my mind goes to the idea that they think somehow this will prevent the debt judgment from being enforced. Other possibilities are Rick’s dream of the FBI unleashing cleansing fire, Cloudflare etc getting rid of this site, or all of the above.

My patreon is my real name and it doesn’t allow me to edit it and one of the podcasts I pay for mentioned once offhand they have everyone’s name and info and when they sub/cancel.

I’m not subbing to this with my real name because of that, and I’m not motivated to create a new account with a fake name.
