That's the best part. He didn't get back end for Star Wars. He's poor by Hollywood standards. That's why he has to go to these cons all the time and charge for pictures and do practically any part that's offered to him.
But didn’t he do the 3 recent Star Wars? He must have done ok from that

I'm sure all the voice work he's done over the last 30+ years has paid him pretty well.
I'm not disputing that he's probably comfortably off. But it's got to grate that you were supposed to be the star of one of the biggest movies ever but the other guy stole the show and went on to have an amazing career and is now worth 300 million dollars, while you had a car crash that wrecked your face and now do voices in cartoons and have to kiss DNC ass in an effort to stay relevant.

Plus his biggest claim to fame is being in the Star Wars movies, he was in one of the biggest movie franchises ever yet after Return of The Jedi his career came to a complete stop while Harrison Ford went on to make many hit movies for decades. You know deep down he hates how well Harrison Ford has done, plus George Lucas picked Ford to be Indiana Jones and not Hamill.

I know Harrison will pretty much do any movie now if they pay him enough but he doesn’t have to do comic cons and kiss the DNC ass.

The only thing after jedi that was worth a shit was the playing the voice of Joker on Batman the Animated Series.

Lucas and Spielberg wanted Tom Selleck for Indiana Jones, but he couldn't get out of his Magnum P.I. contract so Ford got it. I'm sure Selleck loves Ford too.

I could see that working actually. He's dashing and a bit cheeky. Maybe tone the moustache down a notch.

The weirdest one I've heard of is Pulp Fiction, which could have been Alec Baldwin and Eddy Murphy.

I believe he actually had a 1/4 of a point on the original Star Wars but sadly for him that probably only cashed out at about 1.7-2 mil. I think with the two newer Star Wars movies and the image rights he sold to Disney for those Mandalorian and Boba Fett shows he's been doing pretty good the last few years though. Like you say, nothing astronomical though unless he got real points on the gross which, given how little they paid most of the talent on those movies, I'm guessing he didn't.

I'm talking out of school here, but wouldn't he have been jewed out of any real backend money through good old-fashioned Hollywood accounting? "Distribution fees" etc? I know nothing about the Star Wars universe outside of the original trilogy, I'm happy to say.

Depends how his deal was worked out really and how smart his agent was but what makes me think he made out okay was Alec Guinness managed to negotiate 2.25% of the gross on top of his $150k fee for the same movie and ended up making $95 mil.

When asked by some poncey talk show host in Britain why a respected theatre actor like him took Star Wars he replied, "school fees, dear boy."
