I might be biased, but I love the movie.

And it's far more accurate to real life touring than some might think.

It's been years since I've watched Spinal Tap but if I remember correctly the DVD had enough extras to make a second movie. It was a really cool DVD. Fuck streaming, it's so hard to even get a director's commentary anymore.

Speaking of dogshit movies, “Best in Show” is horribly overrated.

That style of movie where it's largely improvised dialogue you either like them or hate them. But I still laugh at "their appeal is becoming more selective"

It's why I still buy and import movies all the time. I don't want to be committed to subscriptions and data, let alone multiple resources to see what I want to watch.

I enjoy film too much. For those that rent and forget, I totally understand streaming. But movies are my second love only to music; that Spinal Tap DVD you're talking of, there was a long out of print Criterion version that had so much on there. Scenes and commentary that have never been on anything since. I had to track it down, overpay, and buy an all region player.

Still worth it. There's a sincerity to the silliness of that film. The Stonehenge scene alone, fucking Christ...

Piracy is even more important now with streaming. First thing I do when I like a show is pirate it all and archive it. Because I have no idea if the streaming service will censor it or lose the license. There are tons of shows now that are not even out on DVD or Blu-Ray and are just on a streaming service.

true and agree but unless you put it on an M disc or something like that it's all up to how long your platter/SSD/flash drive lasts, which probably won't be >10-20 years

Sorry but it sucks except for a few scenes. I don't want to see Mel Gibson in love. His eyes by themselves are basically the romantic lead in that movie. Weird and creepy. Longjeans and Irishguy save it from being unwatchable.
