That bitch is too old.
Management pushed for Norton to be replaced a bunch of times. To the point where they were basically going behind the backs of O&A and reaching out to comedians to see if they were interested in replacing Norton. Bill Burr once famously was floated as replacement by management. Both Opie and Anthony always stuck up for Norton for whatever reason. Even when Norton would leave the show a few days every month for standup gigs and Lucky Louie and so on.They should have just made norton a regular guest and paid him with whatever he could fish out of the toilets
Hasn't he said all this a hundred times before?
The Dopester is running out of material!
Lmao, Did you draw this?

I don't remember seeing it before. It's tremendous, particularly coal demon Cumia and his damaged woman snare. No it was a subreddit classic
You’ve said this before. I wonder how much of it was that guys like Bill Burr or Patrice weren’t a good fit for that third mic spot because they’re too overpowering. Norton’s mediocrity and general ambivalence wasn’t threatening whereas Patrice would have quickly turned it into The Patrice and Anthony w/ Opie show. Keep in mind though that management just hated O&A from pretty much day one. Between the Homeless Charlies fiasco, Assault on the Media, "Kathleen put your goddamn clothes back on", and a million other 'problems' their days were always numbered. So Opie probably kept Norton around because firing him would make it look like management had 'won' and that the bosses now ran the show.
Thats a good point. Burr and Patrice are fantastic at expounding on topics, unlike Jim.You’ve said this before. Definitely would have been an uptick in quality but it could have killed the O&A brand within a year or two so maybe it was purely a self preservation move.
Norton eventually made it all about it him though. Booking endless porn whores or MMA fighters. Leaving the show for his own gigs and TV appearances. Stopping the show to run into the hallway to get a photograph with some random C level celebrity. Some of it paid off like when Opie or Patrice or whoever would attack the porn whores. Or when someone would refuse a photograph or autograph and Norton would get on air and wish that the died of cancer.I wonder how much of it was that guys like Bill Burr or Patrice weren’t a good fit for that third mic spot because they’re too overpowering. I don’t think Bill was overpowering for the most part but he’s probably my least favorite cellar guest but there’s a lot of competition there. If he was the third mic it would be him and Anthony having a slap fight every day instead of Jim who would just agree with him politically and then they’d get on with the show after about 30 minutes. When Patrice was on it was basically the Patrice show and I don’t think that would have been so great 5 days per week. I do think that Jim complimented the show in the most consistent way. Also he was gone a lot so the other guys filled in a lot. Win, win. You’ve said this before. It’s a tough man. Artie probably would have done better as a third mic on OnA tobehonestwitchya.Norton eventually made it all about it him though. Booking endless porn whores or MMA fighters. I doubt anyone can actually be a third mic on a show like O&A or Stern and not have it implode. Jackie and Billy West both quit Stern. Artie was fired. Norton basically turned against both Anthony and Opie to boost his own career. Sam basically plotted to take the show from Opie when he was third mic.

Artie was incapable of being a second mic.....on his own show. He basically did heroin and acted like an unhinged maniac when he was with Nick DiPaolo. But still managed to get Nick fired from a show that he created to make room for an Artie solo show. That lasted all of one year before corporate began looking for ways to fire Artie. It’s a tough man. Artie probably would have done better as a third mic on OnA tobehonestwitchya.
Fag Hughes declared to the world that he was “out of the Cumia business” years ago yet it’s all he ever talks about.

Artie also was unable to be a first mic on his own podcast that was destroyed by his own addictions. I doubt that Artie could hold a job for more than a few months at this point. And his sobriety will likely never be permanent.
DeRosa's only good contribution to the show was getting mocked. He was a dumb guy who acted intelligent, and an unfunny fag who larped as a comic. He actually tried to be a musician. Patrice said it best: "I love it when Smart Joe is dumb."I don’t like Joe DeRosa, but I think he was solid as their third mic. He was the right amount of agreeable and doesn’t overpower anyone.
Actually he recently injured himself doing comedy again. Slipped and fell on a spilled White Claw. Still think he isn’t hilarious?DeRosa's only good contribution to the show was getting mocked. Now he's selling sandwiches. Stupid Egyptian dickhead.
