Anything by Tarantino after Jackie Brown. His films come off like a bad Elmore Leonard imitation mixed with godawful grindhouse elements. Except Leonard was a brilliant master of crime storytelling and dialogue, and Tarantino is a weird pedo jew defender who makes kitschy, self indulgent, pop culture-ridden dogshit, the kind of movies you think are cool in high school.
The moment I truly started hating Tarantino (including his earlier movies) was when I watched The Hateful Eight and a voiceover was introduced something like 90 minutes into the movie. Any sincere director would've used it consistently throughout the movie, but since Tarantino's entire career is based on randomness, irony and cheap novelty, he wanted people to react to yet another out of left field oddball director decision that has nothing to do with the story itself. "Wait, there's a voiceover?!".
Just a clarification to some of you others, by douchy and irritating I don't just mean bad. Capeshit is bad and embarrassing, but it doesn't pretend to be anything it isn't. I'm looking for Louis CK arthouse type movies, where the director and the fans think they're on to something sophisticated that outsiders don't get.
