I made sure he got her a Joe Cumia-style Yamaha so even as a shit beginner guitar it'll be more than serviceable. She's gonna want me to show her a bunch of Zach Bryan shit, which I'm not looking forward to learning but it could be so much worse.

Remember when like Korn and Goo Goo Dolls, Smashmouth and Crazytown and shit you can't just teach to beginners was popular? At least this kid is picking shit that's easy peasy.

I'm just hoping that she stays into it. Her parents and grandparents will all be supportive as they know how to be. But they're also sports people so it could go one way, the other, or both (like me). I already have some weird Epiphone electric that I had professionally painted candy purple with a bunch of hot pink freehand pinstriping for her when she was a toddler. It reminds me of something Prince would play minus the pinstriping (which I actually hate and she will too). It's all offset and shit but it's a strat-style body.

I like getting her instruments to annoy her family. I got her a harmonica when she was like 6. It MAY have destroyed her parents relationship, I don't know.
