Someone pointed out Niki has a history of making bad decisions and has been told / reminded of bad decisions (she said something to this on one of the podcasts, like it’s a pattern and something she gets upset about) so I’m sure she’s well aware that Pat was the worst person she could have married and the only “good” thing about him is he doesn’t cheat (nobody is attracted to him) and isn’t physically abusive. As long as he doesn’t do those two things she will stay with him no matter what dumb things he does and refuses to get a job. Fawk. Lynne had to go back to work and rent their vacation home out.

I never thought about it but the only reason we had “marathon Pat” was because Niki was doing it even though she was doing it to be close to this girl while Pat was back at the end running like a spaz. Once Niki stopped running so did Pat - I guess Jen moved on and Niki no longer liked doing marathons which is why Pat stopped. Patrick often ran with Jenni's "husband" Samuel Huber. As you can see from the results of the mini marathons they ran together, Pat was holding Sam back. Noticed how he always "lost" to Pat by a few seconds. Based on these findings any reasonable person would come to the conclusion that Sam purposely slowed down so as not to outshine and embarrass Pat and cause friction between his wife and Nikki. From what we know about Pat, he would have coped and seethed if he wasn't the winner.
