It actually might be good for both hosts. Jim is better on the road and Sam would be better as the bitchy sarcastic guy on siriusxm one.

Despite the shows small audience he is infinitely more marketable on the road having a co-host role on a national radio program. From what I've read on the Jim & Sam Reddit page Jim was very much phoning it in so I wouldn't be surprised if Sirius were the ones to let him go.

Both Sam and Norton were the two people who hosted shows before and after O&A were live. Sam had his 'Prep' show and the 'Shit Show' and Norton had his 'Advice Show'. Everyone knew that Sam was angling to be on microphone full time once O&A quit or were fired. And that Norton was as well. They showed the most initiative, and backstabbing, than anyone else when it came to getting their own air time. Both of them also hosted music shows on Sirius as well.

I would be shocked if he was getting $200K a year. He must think his podcasts can generate more.

It's definitely some type of laundering operation for sure. But none of them are employees. Sirius only hires independent contractors to do shows. Norton has literally never been an employee of Sirius. He's always been hired as an independent worker. Most of the Stern Show big names aren't Sirius employees either.
