She’s pathetic. She probably spent her good years trying to live her best life. I guarantee she was one of those women who proudly “rejected society’s pressure” to find a stable mate and settle down to start a family, only finding herself in a lonely place and marrying Pat because she had no other options.
The reality is she’s trapped. Adding a divorce on top of everything that’s driving her husband insane isn’t a get out of jail free card for her like people here act like it is.
She had no idea he was capable of falling as far as he has when she married him. How the fuck can she think she knows where his rock bottom is when a huge legal debt, bankruptcy, and cops putting guns in their faces isn’t it?
She’s terrified of what the future holds as his sanity continues to spiral, and there’s no indication whatsoever that things will ever get better. Now, their story and her humiliation has been publicized all over the media to embarrass her further for no identifiable benefit.
She clearly feels like she’s defusing a time bomb 24/7/365 and her husband doesn’t have the slightest clue. I honestly have no idea what she can do to get out of the situation at this point.
So I guess she’ll wait it out until something drastic happens. Until then, she’ll just pop happy pills to get through the day

Part of me feels bad for Niki. She’s having to put up with Pat’s bullshit and everything that comes with it. She feels like she’s stuck in a loveless, cruel marriage.
Yet the other part of me doesn’t feel bad. She’s continuing to put up with it and she deserves every bad thing that comes her way.
She can easily file for divorce. Mama Lynne has the cash to pay for a good Milwaukee divorce attorney.
