Norton lied about everything he was into that was modern. Like he would talk about The Wire only because other people in show business and the media praised it. Whenever someone would talk specific lines or plots from the show Norton would NEVER get the reference. One time one of the actors from the show came on O&A and Norton tried to correct him about which season a scene took place in and was completely wrong.

Just like Norton would talk about the UFC but then not even know who was champion. Even with KISS he made it sound like he was the huge fan yet I don’t remember him ever mentioning anything post 70s work - the no make up era, etc and the same with Black Sabbath - didn’t seem to know anything about them post 1978. He liked the image of these groups so he could look like he was some cool tough guy listening to “heavy” music.
