So he has basically the most baseline music taste but probably not even. The Village People are fine enough, but it's like saying your favorite rock band is The Beatles. They're good, but it's not a unique thing unless you're like into The Beatles and know a lot about them and have unique favorite songs, etc.

But even then at least have an idea or be aware of what’s current, especially if your job is talking about what’s going on for a couple hours a day. Stern at least tries to keep up with what’s going on or has the staff tell him what is going on. You don’t have to be watching every current hit show / music act / movie etc but Norton sounds like he’s only watched 8 movies and 4 tv shows and those were shows before 1990. I’m at least aware of what’s current in tv / movies / music etc but he can’t even do that!

Norton lied about everything he was into that was modern. Like he would talk about The Wire only because other people in show business and the media praised it. Whenever someone would talk specific lines or plots from the show Norton would NEVER get the reference. One time one of the actors from the show came on O&A and Norton tried to correct him about which season a scene took place in and was completely wrong.

Just like Norton would talk about the UFC but then not even know who was champion. Because he spent all his time edging to piss porn or having a male dominatrix take a dump on a glass table or whatever sick vile behavior he was doing at night.
