By claiming that the reddit stlaker doesn't understand ratios, he's saying that his video is 4:3 but that the News broadcasts in 16:9 (or something similar) and rather than leave his video as is and fill the void with the news logo/background, they stretched it the fuck out and made him look fatter. In other words, he's saying that a professional broadcast like the News, which broadcasts every day, doesn't understand aspect ratios.

Pat, have you ever seen a news program? Have you seen when they show a cell phone video shot in portrait mode? Do they stretch it horizontally to fit 16:9? Or do they leave it as and play it in front of a background jammed with their news logo? You're fat. The camera in doesn't lie. You're fat in any ratio.
