One of the funniest things about that was Beavis' active listening. Just a steady stream of low volume "huh... Wow... Well I'll be damned" coming from him while characters would be talking destroyed my ribs.

This is so perfect. This below-average teenager would try to pass for an adult by just pretending to understand and keep up. It's also my favorite part of the show.

My dad isn't outwardly racist very often, but if you ask him about Seinfeld or anything Woody Allen has done, he lets it slip that he can't stand or relate to whiney New York jews.

He loves the Coen Brothers but when he saw A Serious Man he didn't like it. "It's like you have to be raised jewish to understand this shit."

Reminds me of one of my all time favorite callers. Who said he had a business meeting and some woman said "bouquet of flowers" and this guy burst into laughter uncontrollably. And she asked him why it was funny. And he said that he remembered the "bouquet of seaweed joke about dead Connor Peterson from the Opie and Anthony Radio Show". He just wanted any excuse to "Spread the Virus" and nearly lost his job over it.

Cheech & Chong is better in theory than it actually is, because the premise alone is funny but the movies didn't hold up to it.

I'd probably find the Marx Bros. shit funnier. I don't think I've watched one the whole way through, but there were a couple of things that made me laugh:

1) They had some sort of legal firm but they were delinquent, so Groucho was cooking eggs on a hot plate that was in the top drawer of his desk. So a female client comes in and he has to shut it to look professional, and as she's looking upwards explaining her plight, Groucho's waving the smoke away from his desk.

2) Groucho's embracing a woman who dramatically tells him "closer... CLOSER! Hold me closer!" and he says "any closer and I'll be in back of ya"

First one is The Big Store and the other is Duck Soup. They’re well worth watching all the way through although Duck Soup is definitely better.
