I would suspect the hearing was delayed due to a backlog of cases. The SF courts are a clusterfuck, and the police union called out the DA for being a dipshit that let some asshole black on the street that killed two women.

I bet its something related to that, this joke of a case is taking up court time that can be used for real crimes. Violent crimes are up all over the country and lawsuits involving calling a fat idiot a fat idiot online should be delayed until they’re dropped due to the idiot running out of money.

The court website was updated with the order. Looks like they are giving the dream team another 10 days to find evidence. That is the reason for the extension.

The court is once again not going for his vague claims, and instead seeks clear evidence of Quasi saying he left purposely false and anti-Semitic reviews that fills the Krinsky requirements. Any rational person would read this, realize the court isn't buying it and withdraw their lawsuit. But this is Pat we're talking about, if he could pick his battles this forum wouldn't exist.

I guarantee his legal team have told him repeatedly he hasn’t got much of a chance and he keeps ordering them to continue. They’ll take his money (or whoever is funding this) and listen to him but they will be advising him to stop throwing good money after bad.

The problem is that they backed themselves into a corner. If they drop it now and restart then the quash is moot and they are on the hook for the attorney fees. They most likely could have avoided all this by not naming the owner of the site as a defendant. They moved it from a discovery dispute into a first amendment issue by doing that. Ironically by arguing that section 230 didn't apply they made it more difficult to win and fell into the sanctions issue since that is related to free speech. Section 230 is what would have helped them with discovery.
