Wait, why does he think Quasi took out loans? Is it just because he can't comprehend having that money in the bank? I've never seen these tweets before.
Because we're all incel basement dwellers who live and breathe Pat and none of us have money or careers or wives or girlfriends or children and we're all much fatter and uglier than Rick and we all know it! I mean, who just has $17k in the bank?!

The judgechild will appreciate my Captain America shirt, child.
I hope Pat rocks into court with his Captain America's shield tee, terribly fitting suit jacket worn as a blazer, his everlasting 90's jeans and Skechers. Maybe with the mirrored gas station sunglasses and garbage watch he bought when he couldn't afford a Tag Heuer.

Poor guy pulled one of the dumbest, most stubborn clients on Earth during the beginning of his career and had his legal incompetence magnified as a result. I wonder if he really was fired due to how this case went.
That's absolutely what happened. Depending on how Minc Law takes cases, he might've been more of a fall guy type situation. I'm not sure how the firm handles taking cases; whether Brinton did the consultancy himself and pitched the case to his superior, or whether they just have other people review cases and assign lawyers to those they accept.

Whatever the circumstances, DassaResto was between a rock and a hard place. The business practices of online defamation agencies like Minc Law are almost entirely ephemeral and rarely reach court. They rely on either the defendant shitting his pants and settling, the plaintiff backing down when the defendant holds his ground, or just nothing really materializing as they rack up the billable hours.

Strike 1 for Brinton was Quasi holding fast. Strike 2 was when he reported that fact to Pat and the latter was still undeterred in seeing this thing through to the end. Resto must've known from the beginning that they had no case if this ever went to trial and that he had now reached the point of no return. That this wouldn't end well and his only option was to drag the whole thing out hoping Quasi might still punch out, and to max out the lawyer's fees in the hopes this might dissuade his overlords from claiming his scalp.

Sadly for him, thaT did noT occur. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy too.

I don't get why Minc would've let him go though. They got paid likely six figures for this case and Brinton did everything he could for his client. Lawyers lose cases all the time and don't get fired over it. The only really questionable thing he may have done is access the private area of the site with the backdoor (teehee) credentials the mole provided.

Mayr dropped the ball more than Resto did.

Sure he made them money but he demonstrated incompetence in several areas. He took on a horrible case (maybe not his fault), he didn’t manage his client, he didn’t manage his own online reputation or the firms, and worst of all he lost the case.

I could make my boss $10k in a day but if I did it in a way that showed I would be bad for the business long term he would still let me go.

It's easier to fire the last in the door twink than it is to explain to future clients how you totally didn't milk 6 figures on a lawsuit that everyone knew was going nowhere. $10-20k... you can say it was on thin ground but gave it a shot. $150k and you got nothing, not even one name of the 60 people you are suing. That's a bit tough.
Minc Law are lucky its the SWFA (who paid $6k going to court to not release a couple of bits of paper pertaining to patricks membership) who are shady as fuck and keep their financials as secret as possible.

Mayr was trying to argue against the first amendment because he had a fat stubborn retard client who demanded he do so. He did it terribly regardless, he could have at least gone down swinging than being a bumbling fat moron.

Also consider that there might have been ways in which Brinton fucked up that we aren't even privy to. A bunch of stuff happened out of court we don't know. There was a negotiation for the Google case that we never learned if it was mandated by the judge, Peña offered it, Brinton offered, or what.

who knows maybe even the swine complained
