Nah, down south we just immediately started private academies that excluded people based on nebulous standards that totally had nothing to do with race but coincidentally meant only White kids could attend.
They're still in use imo. Find a town with 100 white kids and 1000 black kids in the south and there will be two schools, one of which will service 100 kids maximum for some strange reason.

We have seen what an idiot pat is from being public schooled in his hick town. Pat wants everyone else to be as dumb and miserable as he was in school. Some school districts arent teaching these kids anything and its glorified babysitting. Pat has to make it about race when its really about the quality of education parents want for their children. Of course pat doesnt know anything about being a parent so he blames it on whatever he is currently rage tweeting about.

I absolutely would.
I went to catholic schools in the US north-east and back in the 90's it was a lavish education. We competed in state-wide math competitions and our basketball team was usually in the finals. (all white btw) The thing about my HS was, if you were a piece of shit, you were gonna get kicked out eventually. And that's what happened to me. I was a bad kid and got kicked out in my sophomore year. The month I spent in our public school afterward was like spending a month in the waiting room at the DSS. No learning was happening, I was just deciding who I wanted to fuck next. Like a dark person.

I’ll have to look it up but public schools in Baltimore had a majority of students being passed through / graduating with GPA’s of like 0.35 and that was on the high side. Plus more and more most public schools aren’t even trying to teach kids anything important, most just have them watch videos or even CNN. My cousins son is in 7th grade and said most of his teachers just complain to the class about their personal lives.

Id fucking HATE to be a teacher with the way kids act now. Especially after the pandemic. Kids now dont seem to have a problem assaulting teachers for taking their phones or some other bullshit. They dont get paid enough to put up with that .

Them getting paid is the problem. It's a fake, unnecessary job. They act like tik toc'rs at work because that's pretty much what they're doing. Technology made the old method of schooling irrelevant. Arguably since the 1950's. We tend to be nostalgic for it because it's how we were raised but it doesn't make any sense now.

They don't make private schools like they used to. I went to one up until 5th grade and not a single nog. It was PFG. Then the school I went to was filled with them. Talk about culture shock.

My moms husband has a niece that is a public school teacher. The kids all have iPods / laptops and what do the kids google search? “how to get your teacher fired”
Another good friend of mine was a grade school teacher until he ended up in the nut hut. Now I get calls from his brother when they can’t find him and worry that he’s “off his meds”

My Daughter has good teachers at a good public school. There are still a lot of very good teachers around and schools that hold their teachers accountable--

My mom was a teacher (retired). She made a very good observation about why education has gone downhill.
Back when she was in university smart, motivated women were pretty much shoehorned in to either education or nursing. Now smart motivated women go to law school, medical school, whatever..so the quality of people going in to education has plummeted.
Teaching should be a super important, prestigious job. Unfortunately the system is set up to be a safe place for mediocre ideologues to make a half decent living and never be fired. I’d be all for tripling their salaries if they could somehow do a great job of educating kids properly and have accountability. But Rick is more likely to win a Nobel prize in physics than that to happen
