I dont do that. I'm far too lazy to drag my ass out of the house on a Sunday morning. When I have children, thats something i'm going to have to change. I dont care if I get the church community experience, but i'd like my future children to have that.

Im Catholic and I attend Sunday Mass almost every Sunday. Church is an important part of my life.

In my later years Ive become very sensitive to what's been going on with the Church. So I became a member of Opus Dei.

What did that entail? Are there meetings?
Im just kidding there. I'm not a member. Just making a dumb Sopranos reference. I would never quality since they are very strict on who they let in. The organization expects its members to live strict adherence to the Bible. For example anyone who supports abortion would never be able to join. While the Church would never prevent anymore from attending mass and taking communion (generally).

But yes Opus Dei has meetings. Most of these meetings involve study groups, volunteering, religious retreats, community outreach. You're expected to wear your religion on your sleeves in your daily life. My feeling is that they expect members to constantly evangelize in their personal lives.

No.
I went a few years ago as I was feeling based and tradpilled, and I walked out midway through the sermon.

I realized, why the FUCK am I listening to a literal middle aged Incel shut-in lecture me about life?

No but I want to.

A nigga needs to figure out what I actually believe first. I'm getting there. Turry sent me down a rabbit hole tbh but I'm walking distance to a Catholic Church and hours from an Orthodox one.

I might have to disregard what conclusions I come to abt the nature of the world and be practical you know?

Walk my ass down the street and get a free wafer and a slugga wine mmmmm.

The Church won't prevent you from taking communion (they won't ID or question you), but they do explicitly tell you not to if you are a) not a Catholic, and even if you are, are b) not in a state of grace

The Orthodox won't give it to you in either of those cases. Of course the second is contingent upon how honest you are with the priest but still. It's a matter of polluting the Body.

That's what I said. My point is no one will literally question you or physically stop you. But you are explicitly told not to without both (a) and (b).
