Assuming the law did not change in the past decade or so, from a federal perspective, Patrick cannot legally claim Annabelle on his taxes as a dependent if Annabelle did not live with him for that filing year for 6 months and one day.

If Patrick did claim Annabelle as a dependent any year since we've known about him, that's tax fraud, regardless of whether the Wisconsin court order allowed it.
