4 hours would be super fast. Milwaukee to Chicago is like 1 and half during the day and Chicago to Novi 4 hours it's 280 miles so maybe he can do 3:20 at perfect conditions. I doubt that though, gas stops and his diabetic kidneys. Unless his 4 hour posts was his Chicago drive break.

Love that the cover image of In The Black is the one with the blurb about Gate Crashers on it. Three straight books of his had "Taut, funny, and human, Gate Crashers takes us from zero to FTL in seconds flat. -Max Gladstone" on the cover, either from laziness or because they couldn't scare up any positive chatter about the subsequent books.Is this at Con Fusion? Making finger point merch would be the funniest, most endearing thing hes ever done, so you're probably right. No matter how long this goes on I don't think I'll ever be able to fully accept his existence at face value. There will always be a faint flicker of a thought that he must know what he's doing on some level. He must be aware that he's a fucking goofball. Nobody has ever genuinely endorsed the finger point for what Patrick thought it represented. He's only ever had mockery for how retarded it makes him look. But you're probably right and he genuinely thinks it's a genuine marker of his massive intellect. His brain needs studying.
