Can someone explain why Seinfeld was so great?

George becomes Georgette and it's played for zero laughs. Elaine dates a nigger and they have a graphic sex scene. Jerry gets accosted by Trump NAZIS who call him a kike. Newman is told to lose weight and his arc is learning that only bigots say those things HAES. Kramer is killed by niggers and turns out Elaine's nigger boyfriend put out a hit because he is still seething about The Laugh Factory clip. *Bassline*
This sounds hilarious, especially the Jerry Smollett scene.

You're literally a nigger if you don't get why Seinfeld is funny. Blacks don't like Seinfeld. That's why Kramer said what he said.
I dind'nt say I din't like it, I was asking what makes it 'great'.

If I had a vaccine(not a vaccine) then I'd come to 'stralia & box ur grundys off, then dump ya in a billabong fulla dead wallabys. But I'm not cucked, so no vax for me.

I don't even think you need a vaccine to get in any more, btw. Vaxxcucks seethin.

I can't adequately explain why Seinfeld is great, other than I can still watch episodes for the millionth time and still laugh. There are so many inherently funny scenarios like George getting caught eating an eclair out of a rubbish bin, or Kramer not wearing underwear any more to increase his sperm count. I just watched the episode two days ago where Elaine's boss eats a Snickers with a knife and fork, and it catches on in regular society.

Like others have said, Seinfeld was great because it's just trying to be funny; there's no attempt to be sincere. Actually, there were only two sincere moments in the entire series: the episode in season 2 (I think) where Elaine wants "this, that and the other" with Jerry, and the second-to-last episode where Elaine nearly tells Jerry that she loves him. So many of the old Simpsons episodes are ruined for me because so many of them have to have a character learning a lesson or some gay shit. Just make me laugh, Jews.

The 2nd one you listed wasn't even played to be sincere it was them thinking they were going to die and right after she admits that the plane levels out and it's just awkward between them and never gets resolved.

Ahh. I don't remember this one well because I don't like the last two episodes. Break up my party.
I get people saying the finale is a glorified clip show somewhat but I still like how all their horrible behavior is put on display and they end up in jail. I think it was a perfect ending other than some sappy emotional shit they could have done.

80's comedy was mostly hack with "take my wife please" and shitty predictably formulaic sitcoms. Seinfeld broke the mold because it didn't have a formula. Larry David and Jerry just got coked up and wrote their episodes based on the funniest jokes and premises they could come up with. The plot didn't matter.

This is why the first 8 or so seasons of Curb was so great, once he serialized (Fatwa season?) it started to go downhill because each episode needed to advance the plot. Just alternate scenes between Larry with Jeff, Richard, and Leon and let them do retarded shit. The last season was shit.

I love the whole concept of it and I wouldn't have done it differently, and they ended the show at the right time. I just don't like watching those episodes because I only watch it to put myself in a good mood, and no matter what, the ending is bittersweet.

I agree but the serialized stuff started way earlier. There seemed to always be a general plot like getting a pilot ready, opening a restaurant, staring in The Producers etc. It was just done a lot better than later seasons. This scene kills me still from the later seasons.

I'm not saying it isn't, I just feel like I'm missing something... will someone explain please, thanks!

People relate to it because it speaks truth, that we are shitty people who get annoyed by the mildest inconveniences of modern day life. You go to a movie or take a flight, something is gonna annoy you. You start dating someone new, some weird little tic they have is gonna bug the shit out of you. The great thing with Jerry and Larry is between the two of them, they get annoyed by fucking EVERYTHING. But instead of coming across as whiny, they managed to tap into the whiner that lives inside all of us. and empathize with their whininess.

Like compare it to Friends, the other popular sitcom of the 90s. Sure Phoebe is kooky and Chandler is sarcastic, but these are 6 very nice people who all love and support each other through thick and thin. Everyone's happy for Joey when he books a part, everyone's sad for Monica when she gets dumped. These aren't real people, they're caricatures dancing together in a fountain. Whereas Jerry & George were Jerry & Larry, Elaine was there to whine about things from a women's perspective, and Kramer was there for the physical comedy plus the ability to place him in any situation no matter how wacky.

Did this faggot actually say that?
Not only did he say it, but he was dead serious. He also didn’t even watch Seinfeld outside of an episode or two because he “didn’t want to be influenced by it.” Norton’s career is the way it is because of his retarded stance, never mind the fact that he releases the same specials over and over. I can’t wait for him to die.

He would also act so disgusted when South Park was ever brought up because he was angry at all the jokes they could get away with but not him.

Norton never even tried to do those types of jokes in the first place. He was outraged over shit he didn’t have the balls to do like the queer bitch he is. Norton shit on everything and everyone that he was jealous of. Had he not spent 85% of his time edging to tranny and kiddie porn he would have the career he believes is owed to him.

I was talking about this the other day, there's basically three categories of people when it comes to television watching. There's the people that don't watch it at all, there's people that prefer watching new things they haven't seen before (like me!) and there's people that settle on "their show", usually a sitcom, and rewatch it over and over again. For Jim, that show is Taxi. Nothing will ever be better than Taxi.

The reason why shows like Seinfeld, Friends, The Office, The Simpsons have these massive bidding wars for their streaming rights is to cater to that third category. Psychologically it's been shown to lower anxiety and stuff like that.
