I like that even Metallica said Les was too good for them and should do his own thing. Plus Les would have been dressing up like a duck while metallica tried to look tough in black skinny jeans which would have been funny.

James did a Waylon Jennings cover for an album from the early 2000s that wasn’t bad. Honestly, I wouldn’t mind if they did another “Garage Inc” album - that seems to be what the fans actually want and not “72 Seasons”

That’s what I mean, they pick some obscure stuff and from a variety of artists. I know the lesser known bands (like Diamond Head, etc) have said they’ve done well royalty wise when they cover their songs. I know Danzig did well thanks to them covering Misfits songs - same with Motörhead (I think the most money Lemmy made from music was him writing Ozzy’s “Mama I’m Coming Home” so you know Metallica also helped)
Metallica is the original Nirvana . A bunch of retarded doped out junkies playing the most simplistic music ever with 0 knowledge of how to actually make music. Their lyrics are so unbelievably childish they make Black Sabbath look mature. I expected Danny of all people to defend Metallica not someone on here. They just…they just fucking suck.
However every bass player they’ve ever had has always been the most talented band member, mainly because they come into the band knowing theory while the rest of them like to noodle around with their instruments.
