Lots of good ones in here. I replayed Super Mario RPG last week because of the remake announcement and it still holds up. It's much more gamey than normal JRPGs and it's just plain fun to play. The first couple Paper Mario games were okay but they weren't as good.

It took me a while for it to click (maybe 2 or 3 hours) but once it did it's become one of my favorite JRPGs. Say it again, stupid. The soundtrack is excellent too.

It’s kind of funny because I feel the writers just kind of gave up on Vaan too. They just decided half way through to focus more on the sky pirate and princess.
I played Tactics Ogre on the PSP and am playing the new remastered version now. I love the whole Ogre Battle saga. Wish they finished the overall story.

Well the three real protagonists were Ashe, Balthier and Basch. Vaan wanted to be a sky pirate and was in Balthier's shadow.
Looking back, they actually had great voice acting in this game.

Yeah I played it again last year and I think I counted 15 seconds load times for battles before you could select commands.

Also every boss battle is basically trying to steal all three items before killing him, and steal fails so often. It would be interesting to play the game without spending any gil and seeing how much you can max out your abilities with just the shit you find.
