No, not me. Fetching half a dozen coffees from some neighborhood shithole deli fucking blows, man. Standing around waiting, carrying that stupid cardboard cup holder, balancing it in the car while you drive, then everyone bitches about how you supposedly fucked it up...I'd rather do the work.
I used to just have to drive to a local Dunkin Donuts and bring back coffee for 3 to 5 people. I was like 19 too.
That's not too bad. I had to do it a few times, and these guys had to have coffee from a local deli, which was packed to the gills with people screaming out orders to some gruff Guido assholes. So perhaps I just have a negative association with the whole thing.
Hahah yeah, my experience was much more pleasant than that. Plus it was the summer so it was hot as fuck and I just wanted to sit in the ac during the ride.
That does make sense. It's no secret that he's an angxiety-riddled mess from infancy. Then he matured into habitual drug use and binge drinking and trying to combat heavy hangovers with a shit ton of caffeine when you're a nervous wreck to begin with is a good way to induce heart palpitations and panic attacks. Wouldn't surprise me if that heart attack had more to do with substance abuse than "inactivity".
Leave it to Nana to draw the conclusion that coffee was the problem and ditching it so he could continue to be an alcoholic.
Another thing that did Anthony in was the radio schedule. You need basically be in the office at 5am for show prep. Meaning you leave your house at 4:30am and need to set your alarm at 4:00am every day. If you want to party at a club, see a movie premier, go to the casino, you basically have to either stay up all night, drink lethal levels of coffee, or party on weekends and try as hard as you can to recover before Monday arrives. You cannot really be one of those show business types that attends a different party every night then sleeps all day.
Anthony had a period of several months during Sirius where he was late to the show extremely often. Management wanted him to go to rehab for alcohol or even suspend him. But somehow Opie convinced management that it was not a drinking issue but Anthony was just partying with his friends and would take a break if it became too big of a problem. Norton also once suggested to Anthony that he needed rehab. When Anthony was arrested for beating his girlfriend/beard both O&J said on air that him going to rehab was a long time coming.
Coffee and his lifestyle did Anthony no favors. But he also was likely on some sort of HGH, test, or steroids at one point as well which people forget.
Yeah, and rehab did nothing for him at all. He said he went to rehab on the advice of his lawyer because it would look better to do it voluntarily rather than court-ordered.
