That's recommended, not required. There's a whole bunch that no school would require and no parent should give as children don't need it. There's no need for Hep A/B or dengue unless you're traveling to poo lands.
It was never presented as a recommended optional thing to me when I was that age, do you think parents treat it as such and are allowed?
When I was a quasi step dad to an ex girlfriend’s kid I took him for his shots and asked for information on. It, because I didn’t think it was necessary and I got treated like some kind of monster, I was handed a “information booklet” that read like a Dr Seuss comic while the mother just did what they all do and “trust the doctors” who know nothing about these things.
