A fair bit of my time is from sleeping to podcasts. I actually listened to a lot of Yellow Magic Orchestra and Sparks in the second half of the year, but clearly not enough to outweigh my black metal phase in Spring. Zappa never fails to make an appearance in there somewhere. You'd think I would get bored of listening to the same old shit.

I need background noise to sleep to and I used to do podcasts but I’d catch little bits half asleep that interested me and it would be annoying.

Now I listen to ambient sleep playlists, I’ve found a niche one that I really like called “Distant sounds of war” - I don’t even know why it’s so relaxing.

This playlist looks like one that intern from da show would have. You remembah that intern who said he liked joy division and wrote the word "cremate" on his arm so if he committed suicide (because he was sad) they would know what he wanted to happen to his body. The one whose girlfriend fucked some Asian guy with an Uzi tattoo. I guess this is a long winded way of saying this playlist is gay

The only good one. Better than mine because I run through a band's whole discography unless I am road tripping. So my top 5 isn't accurate at all in terms of what I enjoyed the most. Just who has more shit on Spotify.

My top 5 songs was all stuff my kid kept wanting to hear over and over again, so goofy stuff like dumb Ray Parker Jr's "Ghostbusters" and Kraftwerk's "The Robots". But the #1 was...
Blue Oyster Cult's "Godzilla"! The kid didn't care for Joeh's version of "Cities on Flame With Rock n Roll."

Mine was pretty much expected, maybe in a different order...

Tool
Grateful Dead
Charlatans
Dino Jr
Ministry

Although my favorite 1-2-3 punch was going slide to slide to slide and hearing, in a row, Tool "Pneuma", Dead's "Box of Rain" ()PNE 73 prob.) and...

...and that one made my day.

Although I only logged 3200 minutes this year. Mainly been doing my library via Sonos or Moode (my live stuff).
