That's decent for todays standards. In elementary I had three recesses and PE. I had mandatory daily PE til 8th grade then after that it was an elective at high school along with weights and other physical shit, so not mandated. 6th 7th and 8th grade we had sports teams through the school and basketball and I believe volleyball would have an A team and a B team so even the kids that weren't great could still play.

My daughter's a senior and doesn't like doing physical shit so she hasn't had PE since like 5th grade or something. She was supposed to have it one of the lockdown one of the years so got out of it then because they were supposed to journal doing some shit and of course she didn't do anything and got an A.

My son is in 7th grade and has no PE at all this year. Last year it was for half the year. He was supposed to play basketball last year but then the last second they discontinued having a b-team. Flag football also no B-team, so no sports for him through the school this whole time. Baseball is his main sport anyway and we're on our own to put him into the shitty rec leagues for that.
