There are other excellent TV dramas, and The Sopranos isn't perfect, but nonetheless, it towers over the other contenders, so much so that it often flies right over the heads of those raised to believe lesser shows are the pinnacle of "prestige TV".Here here. Not only does it hold up, it gets better as time goes on. I can understand being on the fence about the last season because the tone is a bit different, but it's absolutely genius in what it's trying to convey.
Even the dumbest Sopranos episodes are full of memorable and hilarious moments. Like Visiting Day, or "who's welfare check you gotta cash to get a burger around here?". Or Hesh telling Christopher that Visiting Day blows.Good show but there were some episodes that didn't watch pretty good. A Hit is a Hit comes to mind
I'm sorry you are so cripplingly stupid.Carmella is Skylar White and all the therapy scenes are boring too.
It's the same show as Breaking Bad, funnier but less OMG moments. The family scenes suck, the crime scenes rule.
LOL Breaking Bad. Fine show, had some moments. But not even close. Watch the 1973 Belmont Stakes, BB is My Gallant or Twice A Prince.Carmella is Skylar White and all the therapy scenes are boring too.

I like Breaking Bad and this is a retarded take. Sopranos is a good few steps ahead of BB when it comes to writing, acting and direction.Carmella is Skylar White and all the therapy scenes are boring too.

Jackie telling Meadow that he had to take his mom’s car for an oil change at night so he could cheat on her still makes me laugh so hard.I like Breaking Bad and this is a retarded take. Sopranos is a good few steps ahead of BB when it comes to writing, acting and direction.
The Sopranos can be summed up as: "smart people writing dumb people cleverly." It's why the dialogue holds up so well, it's intelligently-written and witty while still feeling natural and believable coming from those characters. BB just isn't in the same league, it's a lot more surface level in its characterization.
