I tried getting into it after it had finished and frankly I cannot be fucked to sink the time into it. I gave up after 4 or so episodes it felt like homework
Watched it through twice. First time was great, 2nd time was a bit boring and felt like a soap opera when the mob stuff wasn't happening.
It's worth a watch because it's fantastic, but I'd understand if you tap out after about season 4. The last season is pretty lame and, while the ending is a surprise and a talking point, I don't think it's especially good. You basically have to write the ending yourself and after however many hours it just felt like a cop out. The dream stuff is filler bollocks and the the CGI of Tony's mum is laughably bad.
You can probably find a list of important episodes and just watch those, like I did when I rewatched BSG.
