I’ve seen the Tom Hardy one and although I don’t remember any of it, I recall it being a good action film.

I’ve never seen the originals, and won’t be watching the girl power one out atm. She would obviously be viciously gang raped without offering any real resistance if it was slightly realistic.

I actually really love Thunderdome, but I totally understand why other people don't. It was also the first MM movie I ever saw, back in the cable days.

I like how it actually attempted world building, and didn't just go for more cars and stunts. It also makes sense that there wouldn't be as many cars at this point, because although the makeup doesn't do a good job communicating it, but it's supposed to be like 20 years after The Road Warrior, and Max is supposed to be in his 50s / 60s.

Another way to look at the movies is that RW is the story of Moses ( a man leads the people out of persecution to the Promised Land, but is unable to enter himself because of his own sins), and Thunderdome is the story of Jesus - "dies" in the desert and rises again in a new body ( his hair is cut), he performs miracles ( catches the wind and makes the dead speak again with that record), only those who truly believe are delivered, and they ascend skyward after his sacrifice ( and his temple is bloody, almost like a crown of thorns).

Co-writer Terry Hayes even pitched Thunderdome to a reluctant Mel Gibson by billing it as "Jesus in leathers".
Interesting analysis. I'll give it a shot. Always heard that Mel was slated to make the 4th movie but decided to make The Passion instead. The ringmaster/judge Dr. Dealgood character also has a big masonic necklace in Thunderdome. Weird wild stuff.

What did he teach? Tehe

The Road Warrior is my favorite but also love the first Mad Max. Got my first beej to it in high school so it holds a special place in my heart. And it's just a great low-budget movie. Pretty sure someone died during one of the stunts. The third one was pretty silly and I didn't finish it. Worth watching? And how about Fury Road? People seem to like it. New one does not interest me at all. It doesn't look Many Saints of Newark bad, but just seems unnecessary.

How long did it take the guy to cum? Hehehehehehe

I knew as I was typing it there'd be these kind of responses, hack bastards! To answer it autistically, it was a chubby hippie chick and she either wasn't particularly skilled or it was the nerves since my parents were home, but I basically had to finish myself off. She went to go spit it out in the bathroom and I just sat back watching the car chase with the Nightrider in the beginning. Felt pretty proud of myself that day.

What actually happened was the Iraqi war. It was going to be filmed in 2002/03 and released in 2004, and if memory serves, they were going to film in Nambia.

Once war broke out, the inflation made filming cost prohibitive. It was back burnered, and Mel went on to film The Passion and then Apocalypto. I think that two stressful shoots almost back to back are what made Mel snap and go back to drinking.

I really would like to have seen the Mel Gibson version of Fury Road.

lol

honestly though, my first bj sucked (:colin_sm:), she was adamant of spitting it out which was extremely rude.
I know you're just busting my chops but they didn't have "chicks" in quotes in those days, or any kind of open faggotry. We were watching it on VHS to give you an idea of how long ago this was. DVDs had come out and the big chain stores were trying to clear out their tape inventory so I got it for 5 bucks. Now you don't see even DVDs in stores. Man, I'm getting old.

I like them all. I think Thunderdome gets treated unfairly and it holds up as a fun film when I rewatched it recently.
I never quite got the whole Fury Road being feminist thing. The women in it were all useless to some degree. Furiosa was a dunce who basically needed Max to guide her, the old bats in the desert were useless fuck ups and the character with the biggest arc is the warboy.
Not interested in this spin off they just released. Never understood the point of prequels you know who isn’t going to die and how the story goes. Miller should have done one final one that isn’t all car chases with an old Max played by Gibson.
