Japan rules. This guy Bill Nelson is similar and seems to be somewhat underrated, he was the singer of Bebop Deluxe

I've been a fan of Bill Nelson since I was fawken 15. The Love That Whirls and Map of Dreams are my favorites but I really dig his instrumental stuff. I listen to Chance Encounters the most when I do house chores. Kate Bush, David Sylvian, Bowie, and Bill Nelson got me through my teenage angst. ♥️

These guys were overrated and one was definitely fawkin kids. Seems to be a glam thing. Johnny Thunders had some good songs though

Apparently, Rich Vos is a huge fan of the New York Dolls. But no one knows if it's true. Like many things Vos says. He might of just said it, to make out he is smart. Showing off he knows something.

Have to really check him out if he's mentioned in the same breath as Sylvian.

Speaking of more instrumental stuff, i'm really digging Gone to Earth lately, has to be my favorite instrumentation of all his albums, Robert Fripp is great on guitar, the people he works with on his albums are always top notch.

I think this double album of instrumentals would be a good intro for you since you enjoy Sylvian. It's a youtube playlist but looks to be complete.

For something more rocking, try this album (another playlist I'm afraid):

This album's a personal favorite of mine and might be an acquired taste but was pretty cool when you consider it was released in 1988:

Best to listen to all of these on youtube so the playlists will be easier to manage.

Anyone a nostalgia fag like me? One band that's fun to see even though their music is hack is steel panther. Feels like you step into the 80s for a few hours. Hooked up with a former pornstar at one of their shows, so they're okay in my book
