That's my policy now. I used to put in a lot more extra effort going above and beyond on everything. Then covid hit and it really hit me how fake and gay the world is. Someone like Pat can sit home and get checks and forgivable "loans" for just existing while I still had to bust my ass. Nope, they get what they pay me for now.

My bosses policy is 40 hours a week but if you want to come in early or stay late then he appreciates it. 40 hours a week it is.

I hear you but it’s not like Pat and people like him live a good lives. Yes, he got (and gets) free money but he lives in a literal dump and is drinking himself to death. I didn’t even know what a shotspotter was until someone called out that Pat lives near one.

I worked every single second of Covid and thank God because I couldn’t imagine being bored shitless and not being allowed to leave the house. It doesn’t hurt that I made shit tons of money in the markets either.

I’m sure you still came out way ahead of the Patrick Tomlinson’s of the world.
