WWAW Tires on Netflix?

I hated the Gilly and Keeves sketches except for one (Only Fans Dad). All the actors who are in those are amateurish comedy friends of Shane's who are plain bad at acting and comedy and all of them are featured in Tires, which is just Gilly and Keeves but now with cringey, humane drama. Pass!
That Trump speed dating skit was godawful. The OF dad is the only funny one I've seen

Kerryn Feehan is a terribly shitty actress. All in all, I didn't hate it but as someone else mentioned, the Napoleon Dynamite indie film tone was weird.

Having said that, it's extremely gay that there aren't more seasons of Detroiters instead of this. Because this is dogshit compared to Detroiters.

Some of it made me laugh a lot, some of it didn’t at all. It was okay, I’d rather it existed and kept making episodes than it didn’t.

Not everything has to be great and not everything is a total waste of space. The acting is shit but who cares? Seinfeld is a shit actor.

It's aight, didn't really have any belly laughs but it was an enjoyable watch. It feels like a kid in film school trying to make his version of The Office but not understanding character development beyond "the boss is a dweeb and everyone makes fun of him". Like the other mechanic guy, what was his point? Lingering in the background and having 1-3 lines per episode?

Kerryn's ass looked nice though.

The other mechanic is playing himself. Chris O'Connor. He's allegedly a comedian but I've never witnessed him be funny. He's one of Shane Gillis' dingleberries that is always around him. Just there. Making no impact.

Why would a show that only goes for comedy need character development? How much does the characters on Frasier or South Park change over the course of one season?

You do realize that not every character needs to be a main one? To use your example, do you feel the same way about pretty much every character on The Office?

The Office is perhaps the quintessential example of a show becoming so popular due to character development. Every single person in Dundler Mifflin was individually defined, had their own distinct character, and thus all the jokes were based around that.

South Park and Fraiser too, Matt & Trey would spit in your face if you told them every character on South Park is basically the same. It doesn't mean characters have to learn from their mistakes and evolve as people, but rather letting the audience know and identify each character as an individual.

The show has a "at the end of the day folks we're all just finding our path in life" vibe that I just find sickening. Got a couple laughs out of me but no hahaha holee shits

It's fine.

I wouldn't compare it to The Office, though. Nor would I call it an indie film version of The Office. It felt more like an indie, white-trash version of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

This is kind of an aside, but as someone from southeastern PA (but hasn't lived there since I left for college), Tires really hits close to home. That area has a sort of parochial feel to it...unless you have the luck, means, or in-demand skill-set to go elsewhere, you're pretty much stuck there, and it makes it harder for you to develop as an individual and find your own path.
