If what my 5 seconds of research says is true, I think the area was infested with bull sharks and tiger sharks, the latter of which is considered the garbage disposal of the sea. I don’t think they care about taste all that much

The thing about swimming toward a life preserver is you have to SEE the life preserver. I doubt the kid knew what direction it was in the pitch black ocean, even if it was only 20 feet away.

Agreed there's a bunch of cell phone video of kids shouting "Do it," and if that footage gets out, the kids' lives will be ruined for 15 internet minutes.

In all seriousness, what a tragedy! A young life was lost in vain, all because no one in that video was capable of saying: "Is anybody here a marine biologist?"

I would've counter it by asking do anyone remember laughter, so he was pretty much doomed

He did a whole monologue about how it has lifeless eyes, like a dolls eyes but the camera man fell out of the closet and the tape broke
