I saw a comment where it said driving a new car is like driving an ipad and I couldn't agree more. Fuck smart cars.
And it's an actual hazard. Since there's no buttons you have to look away from the road when you're tapping through the settings. But in cars with physical buttons, you don't have to look, you can just feel around and know where everything is.
So no, it isn't just me being a "boomer" and hating the new cars, it's literally less safe and will kill people. "Don't be on your phone while driving... you can use the car's interface tho".

We have smart lights in the bathroom that will change with sound, sometimes I’ll take a little taste of the devil’s lettuce and play some tunes and have a one man light show. I keep planning to turn on the mic while I take a loud shit but I haven’t done that yet.

The first time I was on a highway in a new car and drifted too close to the line for the car's liking and it started beeping and the wheel started moving itself, pulling me back to the center of the lane, I just about shit my pants. I was like "It's happened. They're revolting." and then figured out what was going on and I was pissed. I'M in control, bitch. I had the wheels exactly where I wanted them. I don't need to be fighting a sentient steering wheel at 120 km/h

I heard with some cars they don't let you turn that shit off permanently. You have to turn it off every single time you start the car. That is fucked up.

Netflix stopped updating their firmware on some Smart TVs so now there are a bunch of TVs with remotes that have a Netflix-button where Netflix doesn't work. Have to buy a new TV if you want to watch Netflix.

My mom has the same TV and the Netflix button still works but it's like OG Netflix with the white logo on the red background and everything freezes like every 20 seconds.
