WWAW Pink Floyd : The Wall

I used to listen to this album regularly when I was younger. I think that most White men in their 20s go through that Pink Floyd The Wall phase, where the isolation and heartbreak and anger resonate with you, and you tend to overlook the fact that even the album tells you that much of it is self inflicted.

I haven't listened to this album or Floyd in years, but saw the trailer for the movie on JewTube and it kinda makes me want to watch the movie again, despite how up it's own ass it is.

Album is still good. Can't deny that. I just don't feel the need to listen to it much anymore.

What are your thoughts?

Dark Side of the Moon is better. The Wall is great and has a lot of classic songs but there's more filler on it than I think people remember. Granted it's meant to tell a story so I guess some shit songs are acceptable? Idk.

I got to see Roger Waters do The Wall live back in 2012 at a baseball stadium which was pretty cool. The Wall Roger before he become to much of a huge pain in the ass to work with.

I tried to listen to The Wall a few times but it was way too hard to do acid too... and that was the only reason I listened to Pink Floyd when I was younger. Dark Side of the Moon and Animals were listened to 1000 times.

Mama Vigoda used to sing me to sleep with The Thin Ice and Mother. Which are weird songs for a mother to sing her baby son. Mother was the first guitar solo I learned to play.

All in with da Wall, although it's one of those albums if you are going to any of it, you might as well listen to the whole thing. The movie is great too.

Animals fuckin rules. I used to smoke weed in my friends trailer and listen to sheep and lose my shit at the part where Roger's voice blends with the keyboard.

They're a good band, but I never listened to their stuff too much. I think it's because as a kid, the movie or maybe the video came on with those weird masks and my brother said "Don't listen to them. They're a bunch of commies." I didn't know what that meant, but it must've stuck in my subconscious and I stayed away ever since. Although I like Animals and a few other songs.
