I saw Make Up in the mid/late 90s. Michelle Mae had her back to the crowd the entire time, moving her hips, keeping the beat. I nearly came.

As good as I thought "Damaged" was, everything that came before it was better. The rest of those Rollins-era Black Flag albums are largely terrible.

The “Damaged” demos with Dez on vocals are much better than the released album. Black Flag recorded a lot of demos besides the officially released ones and they’re worth checking out. The same with Bad Brains.
