The wierd thing is that College Park actually got better under his watch. I lived there for four years while I was a student at UMD, and relations between the university and town were complete garbage. Things didn't start to turn around until Wojahn became mayor, which helped usher in some much needed development (it had always been bit of a joke compared to other college towns, especially in the ACC and the Big 10). Wojahn didn't deserve much credit, though - the university and the state did a lot of the heavily lifting.
