If you're smart with your money, getting paid a lump sum like that can be extremely advantageous as it can be invested and used to build up something better. Sadly the ffwbt spends his money on alcohol and bar slop as he believes that being a glutton and alcoholic gets his creative juices going.
He was 100% sure there was more of that coming.

I did the estimates in a previous post somewhere.
It is likely he did get his 100k for the three TOR books($30-40k per book), bare in mind that he had just published a trilogy (likely 3x $6k) and first years sales for the AR stuff wasn't bad (his first book still makes up nearly half of total sales) so royalties are prob a few grand in total max. add in audiobook stuff and he hits about ~$150k (minus agent fee's ~$15k) over his 8 year 'career' earnings averaged out to about $17k a year.

Not a bad gig if you turned them out every three years, sold out your advance so you gather royalties etc.
So far Pat is 3 years behind focusing on some TinyTim fanfic and royalties on previous sales might cover a meatloaf.

Pretty sure October is when he gets his royalties.
I bet kids out trick or treating get more.
