Biden refuses to step down as he should’ve about a year and a half ago. He thinks he uniquely is the only person who can beat Trump even though his 2020 victory probably had more to do with COVID then anything. Not saying he’s doomed to lose but it’ll be tighter this time around. The Democrats closed ranks around him and are shaming their base into voting for someone clearly unsuited for the job.

Trump has developed a god-like status amongst millions of people. This resentful strain of the American electorate love how mad he makes their perceived enemies. Regardless of his actual policies which are largely bad for his base in the long term, Trump allows his supporters to be absolutely shameless in their personal lives and gleefully punishes their opponents .
